The sunken tower in Lake Reschen
Everyone has probably seen it since the Netflix series “Curon”: the sunken tower in Lake Reschen. The famous church tower is only 25 kilometers away from us. Its story reads like a thriller, but it was a disaster for the inhabitants. When the lake dammed up in the summer of 1950, the village of Graun and a large part of the village of Reschen sank into the floods. You can find out all about it by visiting the Vinschger Museum in Alt-Graun.
Today, there is plenty to do at Lake Reschen. You can cycle or walk around the lake and watch the kiters and sailors perform their maneuvers. A unique experience is the lake cruise on the historic MS Hubertus. The ship sails daily from mid-July to October.
